I have several blog pages. In the beginning, the idea was to use each one to focus on a specific area of interest, or related subjects. One blog was focused on Natural Law and the principles of liberty as the American Founders understood them. Another blog was supposed to focus on Scripture, and Biblical topics. A third blog was meant to focus on applying the principles from the first two blogs to the events of the day: a Scripture-based political commentary, if you will. The hope was that, as the blogs grew, they would become repositories of information that others could use to help them better understand our world, and to then help others to do the same. Unfortunately, I never put in the time and effort necessary to bring the idea to fruition. Well, that changes now. Continue reading “And So We’ll Begin”

We’ve Lost Another Star
It is with great remorse that I announce the passing of Rush Limbaugh.
OTRTD sends out its heart-felt condolences and prayers to the Limbaugh family. Continue reading “We’ve Lost Another Star”
Time To Make Some Major Changes???
I have tried to write this post several times and every draft sounded to me like I was being self-serving. I want to learn how to serve others rather than myself. I know that requires humility, true humility. I’m just not sure I even know what that is anymore, so, I decided to just write this as matter-of-factly as I can and pray that it comes off sounding like something less than a humble brag. I hope it works.
A Worthwhile Discussion
I know I have been away from this blog for a while, but I have been waiting on the Lord. I’ll return soon, but not until I know it is time. Until then, here is a video of a very worth-while discussion. I hope you will make time to watch it. It is far better, and far more timely than anything I know of on TV. Oh, for what it’s worth, this is about the nature of evil — especially as it applies to our modern society and times.
A Sensitive Discussion About The Catholic Church
I had a pleasant discussion with one of my readers on The Road To Concord this week. It was about the Catholic teaching that it is the true church of Christ, as established in Matthew 16:18-19. I was raised Catholic, so I know this is a very sensitive issue for many in the Catholic church. None the less, I would like to address the topic, and to offer some gentle correction to those who may believe the Catholic teaching. But first, I want to say that what follows is in no way meant to be read as a condemnation, or judgment or rebuke. I offer my words out of an agape love, and I hope hope that they will be received that way. Continue reading “A Sensitive Discussion About The Catholic Church”
Talk Radio For Christians!
I would like to introduce you to the only person I know left on radio who I will still listen to for wisdom and guidance. There may be others, but this man is the only person I know who is speaking truth without holding back. What’s more, I consider him to be my superior in many ways. He knows Scripture as well or better than I do. He knows as much or more history and philosophy than I do. And he is as rational and rooted in logic as I am. Frankly, he is the type of man I hope to be if and when I ever grow up. So, if you find value in my blogging, I ask you to take time to watch this video of Steve Deace talking about the events in D.C. this past Jan 6 (If you ever take my advice, do so now and watch this one — it is the best I’ve ever seen).
Seizing The Third Rail Of Prophecy: The Rapture!
The rapture is one of the most hotly debated aspects of the Lord’s Prophetic Word. There are many different views of what it is and when it will happen, and I happen to find this fact to be deeply unsettling. If believers would simply learn to read the Scriptures and let the Lord’s Word testify for itself, there would be little room for debate. Why? Because the Scriptures are actually pretty clear as to when the rapture happens. The only reason there is debate is because too many believers keep trying to force the teachings of men on top of the Lord’s Word (see, ‘the man of lawlessness’). I know that this will be difficult for many, but, if you will try to erase everything you have learned about the rapture and give me a few minutes of your time, I think I can actually prove this to you. Will you do that? Will you give me your sincere, open-minded attention long enough for me to make my case? If so, then I invite you to keep reading. Otherwise, I humbly beg that we part in peace now, lest we cause an unnecessary rift in the Body of Christ.

Before I’m Accused Of Double-Speak
I posted two posts on my blogs today that, to people who do not think, will appear to be hypocritical. Such people will read them and then tell me I am telling believers not to resist evil, but then, I turn and tell Patriots to use violence. Like I said: only those who do not think or understand will draw this conclusion. To those who do think, they will understand my two posts are in perfect alignment with each other. However, for anyone who might be caught somewhere in between, I offer this simple explanation.
Beck: Continue To Trust ‘The System?’
I listen, or rather, used to listen to Glenn Beck, but I am having greater and greater difficulty listening to him. If you are a fan, I beg you to hear me out — please. As the Spiritual darkness grows, I find his apostate belief system creeping through his show is growing, as well. I guess it is the Holy Spirit within me, but I cannot listen to hims anymore. He is simply leading too many astray, and I do not want to risk being deceived by him, myself. Today, the issue is Beck’s worship of the Constitution and his continued calls for people to keep trusting our ‘system.’
President Trump vs His Accusers
Brothers and Sisters,
I have seen professed believers on both sides of the conflict surrounding President Trump. Both sides believe they see the Truth. So, what are those in the True Remnant to take away from this situation?
