A Quick Update

To Those Who Still Follow Me;

Apparently, I am not going to be able to make the changes to my blogging that I had hoped to make.  I still want to add video clips and podcasts to my blogging efforts, but it is going to have to wait until some things change in my world.  As of this moment, I simply do not have the technical support structure necessary to make the things I want to do into a reality.

In the mean time, I have been hiding from the world.  I have turned off all talk radio and news, and have tried to avoid the events of this world as much as possible.  Given who I am, and the friends I have, it is not possible for me to entirely tune out.  I still learn about the big things that are going on out there, but I am not focused on them, or on the smaller stories that orbit around them.  The result has been predictable: I am in a much better mood than I was in January.

That said, I have not been idle.  I have been reading and studying, just in a different direction than what I’ve been doing for the past several decades.  At the moment, I have been applying everything I have learned about how to research to my study of the Scriptures.  I have also been trying to figure out how the Spiritual world of Scripture manifests in our material world.  For me, the goal is to come to a real-world understanding of the Scriptures that can be defended by the actual message in the Scriptures, and not by the misconceptions and traditional teachings of those who either do not believe, or who believe incorrectly.

To be honest, it has been an amazing journey, and I would very much like to share it with whomever wishes to hear my story.  So, that is what I am working on right now: deciding how best to share what I have learned, and the way I understand things with those who might be interested.  As soon as I decide how to do this, I’ll be back to blogging.  I expect I will lose quite a few followers when I do so, but that’s OK.  I understand.  On the other hand, I hope to gain new followers.  And, if you happen to be curious about Scripture and how it can fit into our world without sounding like myth or magic, I might actually surprise you.  Better still, if you have had bad experiences with people who profess to be believers in the past, I might actually help you regain some faith in what the Scriptures actually teach.  You see, I have taken what I learned about logic and critical thinking and I’ve applied it to my study of Scripture.  What I found is a teaching very, very different from that of main-stream Christianity.  It is this discovery that I wish to share; that, and how it ties in to our material world and the best way for us to live in it.  Hopefully, the majority of you will stay with me long enough to see where I’m going to go and, if I’m lucky, you’ll decide to stay for the entire journey.

Until we meet again, stay safe, and God bless,
